TOPIC: "...ONE DIED FOR ALL..."

TEXT: 2 Corinthians 5:14-6:2

14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

2 Chronicles 6:2

2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

INTRODUCTION TEXT

It is important to note that Christ died for everyone. He included all of us in His death so that we all could be included in His resurrection life. There are no racial, status, age or sex biases to what He did - it was for everyone! The new creation men look alike anywhere and anytime because they look like Christ; that is how God sees anyone that has been united with Him through Christ and that is how we should equally see brethren.

God having reconciled us to Himself through Christ, has called us into the ministry of reconciliation - God making His appeal to men through us. Finally, having received this great grace, we are encouraged not to waste it. This marvellous life that God has given us should not be traded for anything.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus for dying for me at the cross when I was your enemy. This sacrifice has brought me hope of eternal life both now and forevermore. Amen.
