“Rue mgb'Ọ gabia!”-K'okwu nka
Nodu nim'obi nile;
K'ayi wer'ihe-Ya nahu
Na nw'oge nta fọduru;
K'ayi cheta na el'igwé
Nechere “Rue mgb'Ọ gabi.”
Verse 2
Mgbe ndi-ayi ike gwuru
Bara n'iz'ike n'elu,
Ayi neche n'uwa b'efu,
Onu nke ndu nagafe?
Ka ntamu nile dajua,
Nka gagwusi “Mgb'Ọ gabia.”
Verse 3
Og'uwa nemegid'ayi,
Nsọgbu-ayi dikar'ukwu?
Ihe-ogbugba nk'obe,
Ihe si n'uwa b'efu,
Onwu, n'ili, n'ochichi,
Kwue nwayọ “Rue mgb'Ọ gabia.”
Verse 4
Le, iror'ihu-n'anya;
Nua manya, nyaw'achicha;
Ihe-ncheta-Onye-nw'ayi
Gakpobat'ayi n'el'igwé;
Ndi si n'uwa, n'otuto,
Kewara “Rue mgb'Ọ gabia.” Amen.
